I find where understanding breaks down, then help design the shared language, relationships, and systems needed to bridge those gaps.
That usually means talking to both internal teams and the communities they serve. I look for where communication falls short and where perspectives differ.
From there, I design ways to close those gaps. This can take the form of a communications strategy, a lived experience advisory group, a learning program, or team training. The response depends on the needs of the people involved.
I believe the people most affected by a decision should have a voice in shaping it. We all come with different histories, experiences, beliefs, and biases. Bringing the relevant voices to the table and co-creating makes all the difference in shaping outcomes that are accessible, relevant, usable, and that stick.
